Nestled fifteen minutes outside of Charlottesville, the Clifton Inn perfectly merges luxury with country living. My husband and I took a quick getaway here for our third anniversary, and we were more than pleased with our stay. The food was delicious, the grounds were immaculate, and our room was perfectly cozy. Our room, filled with a fire place and sitting area, overlooked the main grounds. We took our time exploring the area before heading to happy hour where an immaculate cheese plate awaited, and if you know me you know how much I love a good cheese plate so this was practically heaven. The gardens were pristine: trimmed boxwoods, lush blooming peonies, and ivy covered cottages fill the grounds. Don't even get me started on the food: every meal was better than the next. If you're ever in Charlottesville I cannot recommend the Clifton Inn enough. They will go out of their way to make sure your stay is immaculate, and in the end you'll end up feeling a little homesick for the Clifton Inn.
