In the morning, the time change has little effect on me. I naturally wake up with a little more pep in the step due to the additional light, but nothing seems out of the ordinary. It is the evenings that really get to me. Losing the extra hour of light sours my mood. As soon as the cold sweeps in and the sun drops, so does my productivity.
Over the next few months I am going to try to enjoy the daylight while I can by stepping outdoors for a quick walk, even when it is below freezing. It was a particularly gorgeous fall day yesterday so my husband and I took a leisurely stroll around Charlottesville. This plaid sweatshirt was the perfect piece for a walk around town. It is thick enough to keep me warm without needing a coat. Plus, as soon as it gets a colder I can layer a white shirt underneath for additional warmth.
