Our Wedding: Preparing

I have been looking forward to posting our wedding photos since I received them from our photographer, Sully Clemmer. Each day this week I will be posting about a different aspect of our wedding starting with, that morning.

I slept surprisingly well the night before our wedding. I am naturally a very nervous person, so I was afraid I would not get any rest. But, since the rehearsal dinner went so smoothly, I really did not have anything to worry about. My bridesmaids, female family members, and I got ready at The King Edward. We sipped champagne, ate a light breakfast, and enjoyed a little pampering.

The main goal for my overall look was to look like myself. It is so easy to get caught up in the glossy wedding magazine photos you see, but I knew I would regret doing something dramatic. With the help of my maid of honor, I ended up doing my own makeup because I could never find a makeup artist I felt comfortable with. So, I stuck with a neutral eye with a berry colored lip. Rachel, from Salon 11, gave me the exact hairstyle i desired, a loose bun with a little volume.

Overall, being able to spend time with my bridesmaids and family made for the perfect wedding morning. There was no stress, just laughs and smiles.
